Resort Information
Located in the Savoy region and facing Mont-Blanc, Les Arcs is made up of 4 different family-friendly villages, each at different altitudes. Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000, each have their own bars, supermarkets, and activities to enjoy. There is a range of restaurants across the individual resorts and on the mountain, offering everything from pizzas to traditional Savoyard cuisine. There is a free shuttle bus between the villages so you can easily enjoy the entertainment in any of the villages, and they are also connected by skiable pistes. Since 2003, Les Arcs villages have been connected to La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry creating the Paradiski area, which covers 425km of pistes.
Arc 1800 is the largest of the villages and is very central, making it possible to ski to each of the other villages following a single trip on a chairlift or gondola. It is popular with the après-ski crowd due to its wide selection of bars and some nightclubs, most offering live music and happy hours. In 2019, the famous La Foulie Douce franchise opened a restaurant/bar in the Les Arcs ski area, near 1800. The Mille 8 sports complex offers multiple activities for guests, including sledging and mountain karting. There is also an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and spa. Other activities to be enjoyed by both adults and children in Arc 1800 include laser tag, bowling, and adventure parks built in the trees.
Arc 2000 is the highest of the Arc villages, meaning you can ski to and from your doorstep. It provides the easiest access to the highest point in Les Arcs, the Aiguille Rouge. The other Arc villages are easily accessible from this resort, either on skis or by free public transport. There is an igloo village in Arc 2000 which contains an ice bar and a gallery of ice sculptures. There is also a large natural ice skating rink. The Mille 8 leisure centre in Arc 1800 is a short journey away if guests wish to take part in more activities after their day of skiing.

Skiing in Les Arcs and Paradiski
Les Arcs has a total of 200km of groomed piste and as 70% of this area is above 2,000m of altitude, excellent snowfall and great skiing is guaranteed all season long. Arc 2000 offers direct access to the Aiguille Rouge Massif, the highest point of this ski area at an altitude of 3,226m. Here, visitors can discover the breath-taking panoramic views of the Italian Alpine Chain, Mont Pourri, the Pierra Menta, and Mont Blanc. A walkway was recently installed over the mountain ridge so that you can get a full view of the surroundings. This walkway is free to access. Each village provides easy access to the tame beginner slopes, perfect for anyone new at skiing or getting their ski legs back. Les Arcs also has plenty to offer the more intermediate/advance skier with several black runs, snow parks and plenty of off-piste skiing.
The Paradiski area links the resorts of La Plagne, Les Arcs, and Peisey-Vallandry, each with their own special atmospheres. It has something to offer to everyone, from gentle blue runs to some of the most difficult ski slopes in France. The whole ski area can be crossed on blue runs, making it accessible to beginners. The skiing terrain is extremely varied, with guests being able to enjoy snow parks, skiing on glaciers, off-piste areas, and through beautiful tree-lined forest slopes. For those cross-country skiing fans, there are Nordic trails through forests and across snow-covered plains, with superb views of Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain mountains.
There are many high-quality facilities, such as the Vanoise Express, the largest cable car in the world that allows you to pass from valley to valley in a matter of minutes. Les Arcs also has the longest chairlift in France. The Pré Saint Esprit starts below Arc 1950 and finishes well above Arc 2000. It has covers and heated seats, and it takes just eight and a half minutes to travel the 2,850m ascent.
